Disability Support Services

Disability Support Services offers students equity and excellence in education by working with faculty, staff and students on all SCC campuses to ensure that appropriate academic adjustments are made that allow all students an equal footing inside the classroom and around campus.

Seminole Community College believes in accentuating the abilities of all students and is committed to providing appropriate academic support services for persons with disabilities to ensure equal access for all.

Disability Support Services (DSS) has provided services to thousands of students since 1983 and works closely with counselors, faculty, support staff and area agencies to provide:

• Academic support
• Adaptive instructional equipment
• Reasonable accommodations

DSS serves students under the auspices of Student Success Services in compliance with Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
