International Studies

Seminole Community College is committed to global and multicultural education. Through the curriculum, international activities, and travel study programs, SCC hopes to increase students' awareness and active participation in social, cultural, global, and environmental matters so that SCC graduates will be informed and responsible global citizens.

Study Abroad

SCC offers students the chance to travel to several different locations around the globe and earn credit while having fun. Students have traveled to such locations as Austria, Germany, China, Mexico, and this summer, groups will travel to Costa Rica and the British Isles.

Faculty

SCC faculty members have opportunities to study abroad through the help of the SCC Foundation and Endowed Teaching Chairs. Professors have studied in locations such as Austria, Mexico, and China. SCC believes that sending faculty members abroad to learn of other cultures will certainly have a positive impact on SCC students.

International Activities

International and multicultural perspectives are incorporated in the academic curriculum and in international activities on campus. Through activities such as the International Book Club and the MultiCultural Fair, students and faculty become aware of different cultures.
