What is required to obtain a student ID card?
  • A current class schedule
  • Photo ID: can be a Drivers License, Passport, FL ID, etc.
How do I obtain a new SCC Card if mine is lost or stolen?

Replacement cards are available for a fee and may be obtained at any SCC Card Services Office.

Cardholders are responsible for reporting a lost or stolen card to any SCC Card Services Office immediately. Once a card has been reported lost or stolen, ALL services for the card will be deactivated.

It is a serious College conduct violation to transfer, deface, alter, reproduce or otherwise misuse an SCC Card or to knowingly use an altered or stolen card. SCC Cards that are defaced or altered will be confiscated and held for further disciplinary action against the cardholder. Individuals presenting or using an SCC Card other than their own will be subject to disciplinary action.

Does my SCC Card expire?

Your card is only active while you are enrolled in classes or employed by the College.

Example: Joe takes classes during the Fall term = his card is active.
Joe does not take classes during the Spring term = his card is not active.
Joe comes back to SCC and enrolls for the Summer term = his card is reactivated.

Can I still use my library card?

All students and employees must use an SCC Card to check out library materials, access electronic databases and utilize the libraries' copiers and printers. Enrolled students and employees who have not yet obtained their SCC Card will be able to use their SCC library card until December 15, 2006. Once an SCC Card is obtained the library card is void. Existing SCC library cards will not be honored after December 15, 2006.

Debit Services (available August - September 2006)

Your SCC Card can serve as your on-campus debit card, allowing you to make purchases from SCC's:

  • bookstores
  • food service providers
  • vending machines
  • copiers
  • printers

With a simple cash deposit to your SCC Card account, you'll no longer worry about searching for money to make a purchase at a vending machine or the bookstore.

How does your SCC Card debit account work?

Your on-campus debit account can only be accessed and maintained on an SCC campus with your SCC Card. It will not work as a debit card for off-campus purchases.

Using one of SCC's six Automatic Deposit Machines (ADMs), you will deposit cash (credit card deposits - COMING SOON!) into your SCC Card account. When you use your SCC Card to pay for services and/or purchases, the total will be deducted from your account. If sufficient funds are available, the purchase will be successfully processed. If your account lacks sufficient funds, you will receive an "insufficient funds" message.

Where can I deposit cash into my SCC Card debit account?

Cash deposits (credit card deposits - COMING SOON!) to your SCC Card account can be made at any of SCC's six ADM locations:

Sanford/Lake Mary

  • Building A: Student Services (next to ATM)
  • Building B: Break Room
  • Building C: Bookstore
  • Building L: Library
Oviedo Campus
  • Building E: Library
  • Building F: Cafeteria
How do I deposit cash into my SCC Card debit account?

Visit one of SCC's six Automatic Deposit Machines on the Sanford/Lake Mary or Oviedo Campus and complete the following steps:

  • Swipe your SCC Card
  • Insert your cash deposit
  • Press the END key when you are finished inserting your cash. The reader will display your new total balance.
How do I check my SCC Card debit account balance?

You can access your SCC Card debit account balance in one of two ways:

  • By swiping your card through an ADM on the Sanford/Lake Mary or Oviedo Campus
  • In one of SCC's Card Services Offices
  • Online (Coming soon!)
How much should you deposit?

There is no minimum or maximum deposit required and you may deposit additional cash at any time.

Please Note: SCC's Card Services Offices will not refund your deposit to your SCC Card account, so make sure you only deposit what you know you will use each semester.
