Seminole Community College at Sanford/Lake Mary was established in 1965 as a full-service education provider, offering two-year college credit degrees (A.A., A.S.); specialized career certificates; continuing professional education; adult education; community, leisure and youth programs; and an array of cultural events. Situated on more than 200 acres in the geographical center of Seminole County, the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus has been changing the lives of students in Central Florida since it first opened as Seminole Junior College four decades ago.

The Sanford/Lake Mary Campus offers a full curriculum taught in small, intimate classroom settings. In addition to offering a wide variety of degree and certificate programs to meet even the most unique needs, the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus is also home to SCC’s Art & Phyllis Grindle Honors Institute, the Fine Arts Theatre, SCC's Planetarium and its intercollegiate athletics programs.
