The Make-Up Testing CenterSometimes circumstances force students to miss scheduled tests. But arrangements can be made with SCC instructors to take missed exams at the Make-up Testing Center. The Make-up Testing Center provides make-up exams for students who are unable to take a scheduled classroom test for one of the following reasons: - Personal, family, work or medical emergency; or
- Documented disability identified by Disability Support Services.
Note: Only SCC faculty members can authorize a make-up test. Speak with your instructor before scheduling a make-up test. There are rules students must follow to use the Make-up Testing Center. The College has established these rules to make the most effective use of existing resources. - The Make-up Testing Center will not test an entire class.
- You and your instructor must arrange for a make-up test immediately after the scheduled exam is taken by the class.
- You must make and keep make-up test appointments. Repeated rescheduling of appointments is not permitted.
- You must take the make-up test within five business days of the time the test reaches the Make-up Testing Center.

Note: Make a note of your scheduled date/time and arrive at least 15 minutes early to the Make-up Testing Center to allow for check-in time. If you forget your scheduled date or time, simply log back into the system, click on "Schedule a Session" and a list of your scheduled appointments will be available. Testing Center Student Guidelines- Make-up Testing Center is available by appointment only. A valid photo I.D. is required at the time of testing.
- To make an appointment for make-up testing, students must use the online sign-up system. Appointments cannot be made by phone, e-mail or in person. The system will prompt the student to fill in the following information: location, test session date and time. Students will receive a confirmation of their appointment via their SCC e-mail account. If a student does not know how to use the online sign-up system, they may come to the Testing Center and they will be taught how to make their first appointment; however, students should first try the online system on their own. Most students can use this system independently.
- Only make-up tests scheduled by the instructor and students with an appointment will be allowed to test.
- The instructor must bring either a hard copy or attach an electronic copy of the test to the Make-up Testing Center at a minimum of 24 hours in advance before a testing appointment can be made by the student.
- The Make-up Testing Center will make every attempt to ensure that no cheating occurs by requesting that students leave all electronic devices in a storage locker, allowing only the materials specified on the testing form to accompany the student into the testing area. Students are monitored in regular intervals during the test. If a student is found cheating or using prohibited materials, equipment or otherwise violating the stated rules or the academic integrity guidelines, the instructor will be informed. These make-up tests will not be rescheduled.
- There are limited hours available for testing services, so the Make-up Testing Center can only guarantee testing during the regularly scheduled make-up testing hours for each semester.
- No test will be administered after the following Make-up Testing Center ending times:
